A series of seven Saltwatch: Time Lapse cycles, each scheduled to occur over six to twelve weeks during 2007–08. Saltwatch: Time Lapse records the progression of time on objects submersed in salt brine via a web camera.

Images of the evaporation process are updated every six minutes until all action ceases. Environmental conditions affect the timing and formation of the salt brine crystallization patterns. At certain crucial moments the creation of salt crystals seems to echo formation of new constellations in ancient galaxies.

At the end of each cycle, selected images of the process will be posted on the Time Lapse Archive.
